About Mako Shower & Bath
Mako Shower and Bath hasn’t been around very long, but Sterling Duarte and Shawn Sweeney, the partners who formed the company (formerly known as Glas Door) have been best friends since the age of 15. Since then, they’ve worked together at several different employers including Papa John’s Pizza, Musselman’s Dodge, Carmax, Oakway Contracting, and now Mako. Both men had the spirit of entrepreneurship in their hearts as well as the desire to help people in the way of service.
Sterling, aka “Paco”, a nickname that stuck since a child that was coined by his grandfather, had a love for cars and partnered with a friend to create a business in Auto Body and Paint after years in the field. Having a passion for perfecting things and working with his hands, he eventually found his way to the Home Improvement industry at the perfect time.
Shawn got started with the help of a friend who he sub-contracted for in 2015 installing shower doors. From that point, a spark was lit and a strong desire to grow and expand beyond shower door installation to improving anything involving a bathroom was born. With his background in sales and installation and Paco’s wealth of knowledge and skills, they set out to become the solution to the “Nightmare Contractors” that they’ve heard about from so many customers.
Mako Shower and Bath has a strong love of family and likes to treat each job as if it were our own.
We are a locally owned and operated home improvement business that focuses on the sales and installation of shower/tub enclosures, shower/tub conversions, bathroom vanities, toilets, mirrors, fixtures, and full bathroom remodels.
